Before we pick it up
- Ride it down to about half charge if it still runs. Do not charge it to full the night before.
- Write down the error code on the display, or send a photo of it — it saves bench time.
- Send the charger with it. A failing charger looks exactly like a failing battery.
Questions
Do you repair the Ninebot Max G30?
Yes — the Max G30, G30P, G30LP and Max G2 are the Segways we see most: flats, a loose fold, error codes and batteries. The GT1, GT2 and the P-series too.
Do you take the Ninebot E, F or ES series?
No. On a scooter that sold for a few hundred dollars, the pickup and diagnostic cost more than most repairs are worth. We would rather say so up front.
Is a Max G30 worth repairing?
Usually, yes. A flat, a folding fix or an error-code repair costs a fraction of a new scooter. The battery is the expensive part — we test it for $79 first and give you the price before anything is ordered, so you can decide.
What does error 10 mean on a Segway?
The dashboard and the controller have stopped talking. Most often it is the cable that runs through the folding stem, worn by thousands of folds; sometimes the dashboard board or the controller. We find which one before quoting.
What if it is not worth repairing?
If you say no to the quote, the $145 covers the pickup, the diagnostic and bringing the scooter back, and that is all you pay.
